Drawing held to benefit animal shelter
COSHOCTON – Coshocton Furniture pulled the winning ticket on Friday, Nov. 23 for its annual 50/50 drawing that benefits the Coshocton County Animal Shelter / HATA. Half of the proceeds go to the shelter and half to the winner. The amount of $251 will be donated to the shelter and Angie Rotruck held the winning ticket. This is the 10th year of the event and people could bring in canned pet food items, cat litter and other pet items to help out during October and November. Pictured left are: Bill Appis, Traci Mushrush, Josh Byers – who pulled the winning ticket – and Rusty Harrell who is the President of the Coshocton County Animal Shelter / HATA. Harrell said, “This is wonderful. We take all animals at the shelter and we always have too many pets and not enough money. We do the best we can to take care of all the animals – providing food, shelter, medicine, etc. It’s thanks to the efforts of businesses like this and the people of Coshocton County and the county commissioners that we can operate the shelter.”
