Darlene Thomas
COSHOCTON – Carolyn Darlene (Wolford) Thomas, 85, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018 at her residence.
She was born June 21, 1933 in Frazeysburg to the late Carl and Lenora (Proper) Wolford. She married Harry J. Thomas on Nov. 2, 1952, who preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 1995. She was a homemaker and a former employee of The Beach Co. and Hall’s Orchard. She enjoyed sewing and canning food, was a devoted mother and grandmother, and she always put her children and grandchildren’s needs first. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Coshocton.
She is survived by her children, Rick (Debra M.) Thomas of Coshocton, Jack (Kim) Thomas of Killbuck, Jim (Jeanette) Hardesty of Pueblo, CO, Darla (Jerry) Armstrong of Conway, SC, Sue Townsend of Coshocton, Judy (Bob) Smith Walker of Loudonville, and Debbie Beckett of Killbuck; nineteen grandchildren; fifty-six great-grandchildren plus one expected; and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, and a son-in-law, Mark Porter.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Daniel Beckett officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
