McDonald’s celebrates grand opening by giving out donations

COSHOCTON – McDonald’s celebrated the grand opening of its new building in Coshocton with a ribbon cutting on Dec. 20.

“Thank you for your investment in our community and for all the people you employ,” said Amy Stockdale, director of the Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce.
A new and improved, high tech McDonald’s opened to the public on Monday morning, Nov. 19. The restaurant closed on Aug. 5 and was rebuilt from the ground up.
“This was a big investment and we were very grateful to work with you and your building team,” said Mayor Steve Mercer.
Amy Ansel, owner/operator, of the local McDonald’s is thankful for the community’s support and patience during the rebuilding process.
“We are so fortunate to have the community back us all this years since 1980,” she said. “We look forward to many more years to come. We now have a new state of the art building and the latest and greatest equipment. Coshocton has a lot to be proud of. We couldn’t do what we do without your support and we want to give back.”
Ansel is very proud of the youth they have working at McDonald’s and gave $1,000 checks to both the Coshocton and River View school districts.
“Our students will benefit greatly from your generosity,” said Dr. David Hire, superintendent of Coshocton City Schools.
Dalton Summers, River View Local School District superintendent added, “It’s always great to hear that our students have good work ethic and want responsibility,” he said. “This is another example of the community supporting its schools.”
