RV wins Tri-Valley Holiday Relays

ZANESVILLE – The River View swim teams were among nine schools who participated in the Reindeer Relays meet hosted by Tri-Valley at the Muskingum Recreation Center on Dec. 15. The Black Bears won the event in both combined and individual team scores.

In the mixed/co-ed events, River View won the 200 Medley with Carolyn Cox, Lindsey Ashcraft, Cole Tatro, and Lincoln Shroyer (2:04.45), the 200 Fly with Reas Pepper, Brady Philabaum, Josie Fornara, and Tatro (2:01.04), and the 200 Back with Cox, JT Roberts, Coen Bible, and Philabaum (2:05.43). In the 200 Breast, Brayden Karr, Gavin Donnell, Pepper, and Ashcraft were second (2:20.79), and in the 400 Free, Alyia Stevens, Evan McPeak, Nathaniel Stamper, and Austin Bahmer were third (5:10.60).

In the girls relays, the Black Bears took first place in the 200 Back with Rachyl Smalley, Mary Ann Lozowski, Kyara Roberts, and Katie Hardesty (2:34.15), the 200 Free with Roberts, Smalley, Rachel Vandenbark, and Josie Fornara (2:05.48), the 200 Breast with Vandenbark, Dilyn Tumblin, Paige Shroyer, and Aliya Stevens (2:41.85), and the 400 Free with Katie Hardesty, Michaela White, Vandenbark, and Fornara (4:43.48). The 200 Fly relay of Carolyn Cox, Roberts, Hardesty, and Lindsey Ashcraft was second (2:22.91).

Winning boys events were the 200 Fly relay of Lincoln Shroyer, Luke Massie, Brayden Karr, and Brody Fischer (2:12.44), the 200 Back of Austin Bahmer, Zachariah Phillips, Eric Jacobs, and Luke Massie (2:19.69), the 200 Free of Jacobs, Malek Better, Shroyer, and JT Roberts (1:53.37), and the 400 Free relay of Coen Bible, Brady Philabaum, Cole Tatro, and Reas Pepper (4:02.21). The boys also took second place in the 200 Medley with Bible, Karr, Fischer, and Phillips (1:56.78), and in the 200 Breast with Cale Bible, Nathaniel Stamper, Better, and Fischer (2:36.92).
