Donald “Don” Dixon
Donald “Don” Dixon, 81, beloved Husband and Father, was called to his eternal resting place on December 24, 2018. He entered this world on September 12, 1937 in Ansonia, OH, born to the late Luther and Lydia (Spencer) Dixon.
Donald loved and cared for his family and friends. He would go to any length to answer any need. He was a hard worker and worked many hours to provide for his family. This required many weekends and long shifts in 41 years at Pretty Products. Donald was very education- minded and continued his education through adulthood even while working full time and raising four children. He truly valued education and ensured that his four children obtained higher education. One thing Donald was known for was solving mechanical issues; if he heard of a problem his family or friends were having, he would be the first to volunteer to solve the issue. He was a lifetime member of the Coshocton County Sportsmen Association and in his spare time he was an avid hunter, trap shooter, and beagle lover. He enjoyed Ohio State sports, especially football and attended many home games with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Lapp) whom he married September 20, 1958; three daughters Pam (Brent) Hart of Westerville, Kathy Dixon of Columbus, Julie (Mike) Mills of Orrville, and son Greg (Shari) Dixon of Muncie, IN; grandchildren Jennifer (Dan) Posani, Allison Hart, Heather (Kristy Couch) Burkett, Hillary Burkett, and Evan Mills; great granddaughter Brianne Posani; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by six sisters, Opal, Hazel, Betty, Ruby, Norma and Mary Lou; and three brothers, Cecil, Pete, and Bob.
The family would like to extend their appreciation towards Interim Hospice of Coshocton for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
