Lake Park Pavilion is new venue for bridal expo
COSHOCTON – The 2019 Coshocton Bridal Expo has moved this year to a new location. Formerly held at Coshocton Village Inn and Suites, the expo has moved to the Lake Park Pavilion. This year’s expo will be Sunday, Feb. 24 from noon to 3 p.m.
“That’s such a beautiful place and an historical building and a lot of people have had their reception there,” said Mindy Brems, director of Coshocton Visitor’s Bureau. “They’ve done so much work there recently with putting on a new roof and a new HVAC system, and it’s such a beautiful place.”
After threats that the expo was not going to happen this year, Amy Stockdale, executive director of the chamber and Brems decided to become involved.
“It’s going to be an awesome event for brides and grooms but also it will be a great event for people who are planning other events such as an anniversary party or banquet,” said Brems. “We will have vendors there that aren’t just specific to weddings. So you don’t have to be a bride or groom to go.”
The vendors will include photographers, caterers, videographers, venues for weddings, and many others that can cater to your wedding needs.
“There are so many creative people in our community,” said Brems. “Clary Gardens was named the number one outdoor wedding venue in the state and the Three Rivers Wine Trail was named number one wine trail in the country. What people don’t understand about Coshocton is we are a destination for weddings for people who don’t live around here. They love it here because they like to have their rehearsal dinner at a place like the Warehouse. People come here to be married because of who we are and because of our beautiful scenery. We hear all the time that people are so nice here.”
Most vendors will have refreshments available and brides can register for door prizes that will be given away by each vendor. There will also be soft music being played while you browse.
“Hasseman Brewing can make personalized labels for your event,” said Brems. “You can choose which beer you want and he will work with you to design your label. I just think that’s very unique. Katie Bakes is also coming and she’s been putting stuff up on social media of the things she’s bringing.”
Brems said that if you have out of town guests, the CVB can create a package of maps and local attractions for your family to enjoy while staying here.
“I want them [brides] to be excited about being married here,” said Brems. “I want them to be proud of their community and of everything we have available here.”
