Mullett JeanJean Rose Mullett, 93, of West Lafayette and formerly of Coshocton and Lakeland, Florida went to be with her Lord and Savior at 10:50 A.M., Monday, March 18, 2013 at Lafayette Pointe Nursing Home in West Lafayette, Ohio.

Born June 10, 1919 in Coshocton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Weltha (Randles) Tish.

A 1937 graduate of Coshocton High School, in addition to being a dedicated farmer’s wife and mother, she had been employed as a Clerk-Treasurer of RiverView School District, Novelty Advertising and the former Shaw-Barton, and was a secretary to the Clerk of Coshocton City Schools before retiring in 1975.

On January 5, 1941, Jean married Earl E. Mullett and the couple celebrated 66 wedding anniversaries before his death December 21, 2007.

Jean’s passion was music and will be remembered as a devoted member of the West Lafayette First Baptist Church and Choir where she actively participated as soloist until age 92. Other activities important to Jean were her love for flowers, birds, the great outdoors, and being a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians.

Loving family members include a son David (Dianna) Mullett of Coshocton; two daughters Linda M. (Tom) Scott of West Lafayette, Bonni J. (David) Marshall of Winter Haven, Florida; three grandchildren Leslie (Whit) Croft, Matthew Mullett, Dawn Cool; two step-grandchildren Travis Scott, Kimberly (Matt) Wajda; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jean was preceded in death by two sisters Thelma Sprenkle, Gladys Roby, and a brother Wilbur Tish.

A Celebration of Jean’s “Going Home” will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in West Lafayette with Pastor David Kraft officiating. Interment will follow at CoshoctonCountyMemoryGardens. Calling hours will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., Thursday, prior to the Celebration.

Memoriums may be made to the First Baptist Church of West Lafayette Choir, or the First Baptist Church of West Lafayette Mortgage Fund, 688 E. Main St., West Lafayette, Ohio43845. Envelopes are available at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton or at the church.
