WEST LAFAYETTE – Kent State University at Tuscarawas announced the signing of a 2019 Ridgewood High School senior to their softball and golf teams. Sadie Wilson recently signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball and golf for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles.

Wilson is a four-year letter winner for both the Generals softball team and golf teams. She garnered Second Team all Inter Valley Conference (IVC) honors for two years and First Team her Junior and Senior years while leading the Lady Generals golf team. She was the team MVP her junior season and the overall team medalist for the last two years, tallying 16 birdies during her senior campaign. She also earned four letters in softball and was a key contributor on the sectional championship team her junior year. In addition to her accomplishments on the field and in the classroom, she has also served as a mentor to children at Hopewell School and was active in FFA and other after school activities.

“Sadie is a wonderful young lady and a nice hitter to add to our team,” said Chuck Peach, head softball coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. “She really puts all her energy toward something she commits to and I am sure that she will help take our team to the next level. During her career at Ridgewood, she had some very timely big hits to spark the Lady Generals. She is a great addition to our team.”

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
