Brown’s life featured in Amazon film festival

| June 6, 2019

COSHOCTON – Cordell Brown was born with cerebral palsy in a time when not much was known about the condition and not a lot of expectations were given to people born with disabilities. But that didn’t stop Brown from overcoming his physical obstacles and defying all odds by not only learning to walk, but becoming the founder of Echoing Hills, a summer camp in Warsaw specifically designed for people with special needs.

Coshocton High School graduate Tina Johns featured Brown’s life in a documentary entitled, “Cordell Brown: Thriving with Cerebral Palsy” that has been featured in numerous film festivals around the United States and is now being featured as part of Amazon Prime’s “All Voices Film Festival” which will run through June 24. The film festival focuses on writers, producers, or themes that celebrate underrepresented communities that includes but is not limited to those with a disability, people of color, and veterans. After June 24, Amazon will narrow submissions to the top 10 based on US customer engagement including how many people watched, how long they watched, and customer ratings.

Customers who have Amazon Prime can watch and rate the video for free. For those who are not prime members, a small fee is required to watch. On Amazon, search “Cordell Brown” to watch the video.
