Two injured in crash

WEST LAFAYETTE – On June 14, at 9:41 a.m. the sheriff’s office received several 911 calls in reference to a two vehicle injury accident at the intersection of U.S. 36 and State Route 751. Upon investigation it was determined Jack Connor (48) of New Kensington, Pa. was traveling east on U.S. 36 in a 2014 International Semi-truck when he struck Tobias Hershberger (41) of Sugarcreek, operating a 2006 Kenworth truck, who failed to yield at the intersection.

Due to the collision, Connor had to be extracted from his truck by using mechanical devices. Conner was then flown to the Akron City Hospital by helicopter. The extent of Connor’s injuries are unknown at this time. Hershberger was transported to the Coshocton Regional Medical Center. The extent of Hershberger’s injuries are also unknown at this time.

Assisting the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office with this investigation was the West Lafayette Fire Department, Coshocton County EMS, Prince Wrecker Service, NERS, Cleveland Metro, ODOT, and Albert Excavating.

This incident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
