Accident with injuries reported

COSHOCTON COUNTY – On Aug. 4, at 1:56 p.m., dispatch received a 911 call of an intoxicated male who had struck a deer while riding his 4-wheeler. Upon arrival of deputies it was determined that a 40-year-old male of Fresno, who was not wearing his helmet, was traveling south on County Road 274 when he struck a deer causing the 4-wheeler to roll. The male was then transported to Grant Hospital by MedFlight. Speed and alcohol are believed to contributing factors. Assisting deputies at the scene was Coshocton County EMS, AirEvac, the Conesville Fire Department and Prince’s Wrecker. This accident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s office.
