Rick E. Acord

COSHOCTON – Rick E. Acord “Big Bee”, 62, of Coshocton passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. He was born in Newark, Ohio on May 13, 1957 to the late Kenneth E. and Eileen V. (Layton) Acord.

He has worked as a truck driver for William Albert Excavating and Ross Brothers Co. for more than 45 years. He also worked for the Coshocton EMS as a driver and the Coshocton REACT.  His passion in life was pulling tractors.

Rick is survived by his wife, Theresa (Hare) Acord, whom he married February 25, 1977; his two children Richard (Billie) Acord and Jeanie Griffin both of Coshocton; brother Rolland (Pam) Acord of Coshocton; sister Karen (Mike Davis) McMillen of Coshocton; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his great grandson Kyrese Graham; brothers Randy and Rodney Acord.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Friday August 16, 2019 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm with funeral services beginning at 6:00pm with Pastor Stan Braxton officiating.  A cremation will take place following the services. Memorial contributions can be directed towards the Miller Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.  An online memorial is located at www.themillerfuneralhome.com
