Fatal farming accident reported
COSHOCTON – On Aug. 29, the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a possible farming accident in the 58000 block of County Road 2. The caller advised that there was a male subject unresponsive in a field. Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was found that the male subject, identified as 78-year-old Paul Zinkon, was cutting hay and lost control of his tractor while descending a hill. It appears that Mr. Zinkon possibly had a medical incident that caused the accident. Mr. Zinkon was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Coshocton County Coroner’s Office.
Assisting at the scene was Coshocton County EMS, Bakersville Fire Department, and the Coshocton County Coroner’s Office. This incident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
