Bad Boyz Mud Bog: The next Bad Boyz Mud Bog of the season, 44840 SR 541, Coshocton, will be Saturday, Sept. 28. Gates open at 10 a.m. Event starts at 1 p.m. General admission is $5. Free admission to those infant to three years old. Vehicle admission is $20. One hundred percent payout to first, second, and third place. Bluegrass Music: Three Rivers Bluegrass Music and Relay for Life Team Alana presents bluegrass music at Coshocton Village Inn and Suites, 115 N. Water St., on SR 541 beside McDonald’s, once a month. Veterans Fair Passes: Free fair passes for military veterans for the Coshocton County Fair are being made possible again through the Blue Star Mother’s Chapter OH59 and the Coshocton County Veterans Council. Passes are good for one free admission to the fair from Oct. 1 through Oct 4. The fair runs from Sept. 27 through Oct. 3. Passes can be obtained from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 9 to 25 at the Coshocton County Veterans Service Office. Bring proof of residency and either your military/veterans ID card or DD-214 form. Numbered passes must be signed for and are not transferable. For information, contact the veteran’s office at 740-622-2313.
Flu Shots: The Coshocton City Health Department, 400 Browns Lane, Coshocton, will have walk-in clinics for flu shots beginning Sept. 30 thru the month of October on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 2 to 4 p.m. Insurances accepted: Medicare, Medicaid, Humana Medicare, Aetna Medicare, Medigold, The Health Plan (Medicare), Medical Mutual of Ohio, Molina, CareSource and Paramount. Hepatitis A Vaccines: The Coshocton County and City Health Departments will have a Hepatitis A Adult Immunization Clinic where they will offer Hepatitis A vaccines at the Coshocton County Fair at the County Health Department Booth in Commercial Building 1 on Tuesday, Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to noon and 4 to 6 p.m.
Mobile Market: Canal Lewisville Mobile Market will be Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the church shelter from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Free food to all who qualify.
Free Family Law Clinic: There will be a free family law clinic for Coshocton County throughout the year. This advice clinic is for low-income individuals. Sign in is at 1:45 p.m. the day of the clinic and is limited to 16 qualified individuals. It will be held at the Coshocton County Juvenile Court, 426 Main St., Coshocton. Election Meeting: The Coshocton County Board of Elections will have their next meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 8:30 a.m.
CCRPC Meeting: The Coshocton County Regional Planning Commission Executive Committee meeting that was to be held on Monday, Sept. 9 in the Commissioners Conference Room at 3:30 p.m. has been cancelled. Mental Health First Aid: Classes for adults who work with youth will be offered through the OSU Extension on Saturday, Oct. 19 at Warsaw Elementary, 501 Blissfield Rd., Warsaw from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event is free and snacks are provided. Kids Sale: Coshocton County Kids Stuff Sale is a gently-used children’s resale open to the community. Anyone can sell their unused items and shop for new ones. Poker Run: The sixth annual veterans poker run will be at the Army Navy on Saturday, Oct. 12 with a concert beginning at 7 p.m. Last bike out at noon and last bike in at 5:30 p.m. Entertainment will be provided throughout the day beginning at 10 a.m. Cost for the poker run is $20 per couple, $15 per person. Cost for the 7 p.m. concert is $3 for members, $8 in advance, and $10 at the door.

Bowling Benefit: Legacy Lanes and Lounge will have a Step on the Lane – Strike Out Violence on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 1 and 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Two-hour time limit, four-person team, minimum sponsorship, $300 per team. Sponsor includes two games, shoes, t-shirt, and pizza. All proceeds to benefit the First Step Family Violence Intervention Services.

Yuengling Scramble Series: Zoar Golf Club has announced the addition to the Yuengling Scramble Series. A Senior Masters two-man scramble will be Saturday, Oct. 5. Free Training: Central Ohio Technical College has free training options available this fall. These classes include AutoCAD, Computer Apps, Blueprint Reading and Technical Drawing, DC Circuits, Industrial Motors and PLC, AutoCAD Electrical, AC Circuits, Industrial Controls, Manufacturing Leaders, and Manufacturing Young Leaders. Class Reunion: Coshocton High School class of 1974 will have their 45th class reunion on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Raven’s Glenn Winery. Please arrive at 5 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Cost is $28. A picture will be taken at 7 p.m. and games will start at 7:30 p.m.
No School: Coshocton City Schools will be closed on Monday, Sept. 30 and Tuesday, Oct. 1 for the county fair. Classes will resume on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Worship Time Change: On Sunday, Oct. 6, the First Baptist Church of Coshocton, 618 Chestnut St., will change their times and location. Worship service will be at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary with Sunday School following at 10:45 a.m. Doors will be opened, and everyone is welcome.

Fall Festival Fundraiser: New Castle Ministries will have a fall festival fundraiser at McElwee Park in New Castle on Sunday, Oct. 13 from 2 to 5:30 p.m. There will be chili and hot dogs, games with prizes, contests with prizes, hayrides, face painting, and more. Tickets will be sold at the event.
Helping Hands: Conesville United Methodist Church, 196 State Street, Conesville, will have Helping Hands on the third Thursday of each month from 6 – 6:30 p.m. The next distribution date will be Oct. 17.
Church Bicentennial: Dresden Madison Presbyterian Church will celebrate its bicentennial on Oct. 20. Regular worship services will be at 10:15 a.m. There will be a catered dinner at noon. The afternoon program beginning at 1 p.m. will feature Alice Hoover who will present a first-person portrayal of Ruth Shelder, wife of circuit rider Rev. Henry O. Shelder. Faith, Fun, Fellowship: Isleta United Methodist Church, 58608 CR 9, Newcomerstown, will have a Faith, Fun, Fellowship event on Saturday, Oct. 26. This is a women’s only event. Adult Bible School: The First Baptist church of West Lafayette is now having Sunday night Bible study for adults of all ages on Sunday nights at 6 p.m. in the fireside room of the church. Lapsit, Coshocton Public Library: Large Meeting Room, Wednesdays 10 to 10:30 a.m., Thursdays 10 to 10:30 a.m., West Lafayette Branch Library, Tuesdays 10 to 10:30 a.m.: For babies and toddlers, birth to three years, Lapsit is focused on early literacy and socialization skills through rhyme, rhythm, fingerplays, and music, all from the security of the lap of a parent or caregiver. We spend 20 minutes on a structured circle time, read the shortest of stories, and then enjoy parachute play, art projects, musical instruments, bubbles, or other fun activities. Registration is not required.

Public Technology Education, Coshocton Public Library, Mondays, 2 to 4 p.m., by appointment: Individual assistance is available for those needing help with an app or software, or who want to learn more about digital services the library offers. We cannot repair, fix, troubleshoot, or diagnose malfunctioning devices or software.
Books Galore Book Store, Coshocton Public Library: Basement, Mondays 3 to 6 p.m., Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Gently used books, DVDs, videos, and magazines for sale at rock bottom prices. The bookstore is located in the basement of the Coshocton Public Library and operated by the Friends of the Library. All proceeds benefit the library, the West Lafayette Branch, and the bookmobile. Family Night at the Library – School-Agers, Coshocton Public Library: Large Meeting Room, Tuesdays, 6:45 to 7:15 p.m.: Children ages 7 to 12 are invited to join us each week for STEAM Club (science/ technology/ engineering/ arts/ math). We will experiment with science and engineering, work on coding and have fun with different art media! For a full list of activities, pick up our STEAM bookmark. Registration is not required.
Chi Class, Roscoe United Methodist Church: Gym, Thursdays, year-round, 10 to 11 a.m.: Join the Coshocton Public Library at the Roscoe United Methodist Church Gym to practice gentle exercises that reduce stress and increase vitality. Chi Class is taught by Holli Rainwater, a Certified Tai Chi Easy Practice Leader. Registration is not required.
