NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NO. 1
The City of Coshocton is eligible and intends to apply to the Ohio Development Services Agency for funding through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Residential Public Infrastructure Grant Program, a federally-funded program administered by the State.
The first of two or more public hearings will be held on October 8, 2019 at 6:00 pm at Kirk Street Events Center at 113 South Kirk Street, West Lafayette, Ohio 43845. This public hearing will provide citizens with pertinent information about the CDBG program, including an explanation of eligible activities and program requirements. The CDBG program can fund a broad range of activities, including: economic development projects; street, water supply, drainage and sanitary sewer improvements, park acquisition and improvements; demolition of unsafe structures; rehabilitation of housing and neighborhood facilities. The activities must be designed to primarily benefit low and moderate-income persons, aid in the prevention or elimination of slum and blight or meet an urgent need of the community.
Citizens are encouraged to attend this meeting on October 8, 2019 to provide input on the City’s proposed CDBG project.
