NWTF presents donations
WARSAW – The Muskingum Valley Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) made three donations at River View High School on Monday afternoon, Oct. 7.
A $250 donation will go toward the district’s sixth grade camp program, $500 will go toward archery in the schools, and $500 to the high school’s FFA trap team.
“We have superfund money that can come back to our area and we try to find organizations that fit the criteria for it that we can support,” said Dwaine Scheetz, treasurer and banquet chairman for the local NWTF chapter.
Helping him present the checks was Shawn Dickey from the NWTF. His job is to help with superfund requests and getting money back into communities.
“If it wasn’t for what the local chapters do this money wouldn’t be there,” Dickey said.
