Resident praises city officials for their efforts
COSHOCTON – A Winding Drive resident came to the Oct. 28 Coshocton City Council meeting to express his appreciation for the city officials.
Russ Fehrman knew the cul de sac he lives on was not high on the list of streets to be paved, but when the residents needed the city’s help the officials came through.
“This year it deteriorated pretty bad,” Fehrman said. “We contacted Mr. Crown and received the type of service from him we have become used to. Thank you.”
Fehrman also congratulated them on their work with West Lafayette and making Coshocton a regional water supplier.
“You were able to do that without fighting or arguing,” he said. “You all had the same goal to help us be successful and make us grow.”
Mayor Steve Mercer was invited to talk about this project at an Appalachian Partnership for Economic Growth (APEC) regional seminar.
Safety Service Director Max Crown said the weather did not cooperate with finishing the basketball courts at Hall Park. The sealant is on the courts but striping them will have to wait until spring. The weather has to be 63 degrees and rising for the sealant to work properly.
City council will next meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12 instead of Nov. 11 due to Veterans Day.
