Holiday food vouchers available to veterans of Coshocton County

COSHOCTON – Veterans wishing to obtain food vouchers for the upcoming Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday are encouraged to apply at the Veterans Service Office. Vouchers will be available to veterans whose annual income does not exceed 200 percent of the 2019 Federal Poverty Guidelines. Veterans who wish to receive a voucher must provide proof of gross household income and Coshocton County residency for a minimum of 90 days, have served on active duty for other than training and have been honorably discharged. Each voucher may be redeemed at Aldi’s, Buehler’s Food Market, Shopwise, or Collins Meat Market. A list of items that are not to be purchased will be provided to successful applicants and store receipts will be reviewed. Anyone purchasing unauthorized items may be barred from participating in any future voucher programs and/or financial assistance. Vouchers will be issued until Friday, Dec. 13 in the amount of $50. This is the sixth year that the Veterans Service Commission and Office are providing these vouchers. Questions may be directed to the Veterans Service Office at 740-622-2313.

The financial guidelines are as follows:

Family size and income: One – $24,980.00; Two – $33,820.00; Three – $42,660.00; Four – $51,500.00; Five – $60,340.00; Six – $69,180.00; Seven – $78,020.00; Eight – $86,860.00
