Decomposed body found in Perry Township

COSHOCTON COUNTY – On Nov. 16, at 11:53 a.m., the sheriff’s office received a 911 transfer from Licking County from a male stating that he found a decomposed body on his property, located on Perry Township Road 380. After deputies arrived on scene, detectives and the Coshocton County Coroner were called to assist with the investigation. After a short period of time, the deceased male was identified as Ernest Baker, the lost male from Knox County reported missing on Sept. 20. The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office will continue to work with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office on this case. Assisting deputies and detectives at the scene was the Coshocton County Coroner’s Office, the Walhonding Valley Fire District and Coshocton County EMS.
