Otis “Jack” Aronhalt

COSHOCTON- Otis Ray “Jack” Aronhalt, 90, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019 at Signature Healthcare.

He was born Jan. 28, 1929 in Coshocton Co. to the late Harold B. and Winifred D. (Stiner) Aronhalt. He was an equipment operator for the Boyd Gravel Co. until his retirement. He was a member of the Eagles, bowled on a league, loved watching the Cleveland Indians, and spending the weekends watching dirt track races.

He is survived by two sons, Norman Aronhalt (Heidi McPeak) of Coshocton, and Ray Aronhalt (Caroline Ray) of Coshocton; his grandchildren, Jessica (Adam) Warren of Warsaw, Jayanne Aronhalt of Frazeysburg, Jennifer (Shawn) Wolford of Coshocton, Jaclynn (Josh) Sullivan of Dresden, Katie (Andrew) Saylor of Coshocton, Steve Aronhalt of Coshocton, Christy Aronhalt of Coshocton, Dennis Roote of Coshocton, Roy Aronhalt Jr. of Coshocton, and Shawn Aronhalt of Coshocton; great-grandchildren, Elly, Abby, Hunter, Cassie, Mathew, Marcus, Conner, Adisen, Aaron, Aiden, Stevie, Ashley, Austin, Hanna, Tyler, Devin, and Daniel; great-great-grandchildren, Briar & Charlotte Louise; his girlfriend of 12 years, Mary Arnold; two sisters, Shirley (Bill) Wilson and Helen Totten; former daughter-in-law, Diana Young; and his special sidekick, his dog “Jr”.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Louise (Thornsley) Aronhalt (married Jan. 28, 1947, died March 24, 1999); a daughter, Cynthia Joan who died at 2 days old; a son, Robert “Roy” Aronhalt; four sisters, Catherine Spang, Leona Reigle, Maxine Thornsley, and Gertrude Stewart; and two brothers, Jim & Wayne Aronhalt.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Private burial will take place in Prairie Chapel Cemetery. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
