Coshocton Foundation distributes 11 grants
COSHOCTON – The distribution committee of the Coshocton Foundation had its first meeting for fiscal year 2020 recently and awarded 11 grants totaling $74,515 to several community organizations. The grants awarded include:
- $31,000 to the Clary Garden Foundation for a stamped concrete pad and landscape design
- $10,000 to the Johnson Humrickhouse Museum for an updated and communicative lobby area
- $10,000 to Coshocton County Handicapped Society for materials for their aluminum ramp project
- $5,000 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio to provide nights of rest for Coshocton County families
- $4,000 to Kids America, Inc. for equipment for tumbling jump start project – ages 3-12
- $3,997 to Friends of The Parks to add/repair obstacles for The Indian Mud Run Obstacle Course
- $3,000 to West Lafayette Volunteer Firemen’s Association for replacement of obsolete alert pagers
- $2,500 to Humane Animal Treatment Association for spay – neuter programs
- $2,018 to River View Local School District for Ozobot-Robotics/Coding Literacy for eighth graders
- $2,000 to Kids America, Inc. for summer day camp program
- $1,000 to Coshocton City Schools for leadership/enrichment activity for junior high gifted students
The Coshocton Foundation was established in 1966 through the Last Will and Testament of local merchant Adolph Golden and has distributed more $8.2 million in grants to community organizations from its unrestricted fund. In addition, the foundation has more than 160 restricted funds from which distributions are made for specific purposes.
