CHS moving football program in new direction
COSHOCTON – Coshocton High School’s administration recently met with Coach Jim Woodrum and decided to move its football program in a different direction.
“We would like to thank coach for his years of service to our program, building, and district as our head football coach and wish him luck in the future,” said Athletic Director Tim Fortney.
Woodrum served as a Coshocton football coach for 28 years with the last 10 being as head coach. During his head coaching tenure, the Redskins compiled and overall record of 57-52. His teams qualified for the OHSAA playoffs in 2010, 2011, 2014, and 2016. The 2011 team finished as Division IV Regional Runner-ups and the 2016 team won a regional final while making an appearance in the State Final Four in Division V.
Coshocton won the ECOL Gray Division in 2014, 2015, and 2016, leading to corresponding Coach of the Year Honors for Woodrum. Woodrum also was selected to coach in the Big 33 All Star Game in 2011.
