Fellowship of Christian Athletes starts at CCS
COSHOCTON – Four new student leaders from Coshocton Christian School started a Fellowship of Christian Athletes at school.
Despite its title, FCA is not just limited to athletes; rather, all students seven through 12th grade are welcome to join.
After having a few FCA meetings last year, Freshman Kate Uhlig decided to start it up again at CCS.
“As teens face problems in their life, it (FCA) gives them a good, godly influence and fellow Christians to talk to,” said Uhlig.
The students have met a few times already, with about 10 people attending per meeting.
However, FCA isn’t just limited to CCS, six other local schools are also a part of this program.
“We hope to have more student involvement and help build a Christian community of teenagers in the future,” Uhlig said.
Uhlig recruited three fellow students to help her lead the new group – sophomore Haley Eberhard, sophomore Willa Mann, and junior Isaac Gray.
The FCA leaders from other local schools will be hosting an FCA Unite event at Coshocton Christian Tabernacle on Sunday, January 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. All seventh through 12th grade students are welcome to join for a night of fellowship and fun.
