| March 9, 2020

The third Coshocton County Lenten Lunch will be on Wednesday, March 11, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:50 p.m., in the fellowship hall of The Presbyterian Church, 142 N. Fourth St. in Coshocton.  The soups, pies, and workers will be provided by the Conesville United Methodist Church, Fresno United Methodist Church, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, and Canal Lewisville United Methodist Church, and Church Women United will prepare crackers, vegetables, cheese, and beverages.  The suggested donation is $5. Any proceeds after expenses will go to Church Women United for their “clothe a child” project.

Following the meal, a hymn will be sung and Norma Owens and Joe Sanders will provide special music, accompanying themselves on guitars. Christine Sycks, Coshocton County auditor, will introduce Pastor Joseph Sanders, pastor of Coshocton’s First Baptist Church. He will speak on “The Depraved Heart” [Jeremiah 17:9-10].

Sanders began his ministry in Coshocton on Jan. 1, 2013. Previously he was pastor of churches in DeKalb, Illinois; Martin’s Ferry, Ohio; and Olean, New York. He has been married to Lonie Sanders for more than 41 years. They have two sons and five grandchildren.
