Hot air balloon festival cancelled

| April 8, 2020

The Coshocton Hot Air Balloon Festival Committee has decided to cancel the 2020 festival in the best interests of our sponsors, vendors, pilots, volunteers, and attendees.

Tom Roahrig, president of the festival committee, says “Our community has supported this event for 39 years and our sponsors have been very generous. In this time of uncertainty, we cannot ask our community and local businesses to give anything.”

While we are saddened to cancel a long running staple community event, we feel the safety of all involved is of the utmost importance. This decision is not easy, but it is necessary. We look forward to working with our sponsors and the community to make the 2021 Coshocton Hot Air Balloon Festival better than ever. Save the date for June 10 – 12, 2021.

In addition to Roahrig, board members include: Michelle Carpenter, Ken Cramer, Patty Cramer, Kelly Fender, Kelly Kendall, Phil Linne, Patty Wherley, Allen Yost, and Nancy Zeigler.
