Coshocton Farmers Market opens Saturday, June 6
After a month’s delay due to coronavirus concerns, Coshocton Farmers Market will open Saturday, June 6, at its Main Street location, along the 300 block of Main Street.
This year has been an unusual one, with extra cold weather in April on top of stay-at-home orders. Shoppers should be ready for a few changes when they arrive at the market, and are asked to please follow all signs and directions. The market is asking that people limit the number coming from one household, and wearing masks is highly encouraged. Market vendors will be wearing masks and sanitizing their tables regularly. Booths will be set up on the courthouse side of the street, with wide spacing between them.
The start of the season will feature early spring produce such as asparagus, along with honey, maple syrup, baked goods, and crafts. Penny Carroll will be at the market the first two Saturdays with her perennial plants, including Daylilies, Hostas, and other varieties. Becky Bowden will offer tomato plants for sale.
The market is open 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays, from this week through October, on the 300 block of Main Street, Coshocton.
The farmers market always welcomes new vendors. The fee per market day is $6 and a discount for the whole season is available. For more information, Coshocton Farmers Market can be messaged through its Facebook page.
