Westfall remains found

On March 22, 2019 the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office  began an investigation into the whereabouts of a missing adult from our area.

Deputies began searching for Walter P. “Pat” Westfall, a 40 year old white male from the 800 block of Beech St., in Coshocton.  He was last seen on March 19 in the area where he lives.

On April 10, 2020, the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to human remains found in a wooded area near TR 262 in Oxford Township in our county.

They were able to confirm that the human remains are Walter P. “Pat” Westfall. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance and death remain under investigation by the sheriff’s office.

Assisting the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office with this investigation are the Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office, the Coshocton County Coroner, Dr. Virostko, BCI and West Lafayette Fire.

This incident remains under investigation by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
