Deputies capture wanted man

On July 17, 2020, at 2:28 p.m. deputies, on routine patrol, saw a wanted adult male that had an arrest warrant out of municipal court.

Brandon J. Cummings, 22-years-old and from the Baltic area, fled from officers who pursued him on foot. Cummings led deputies to the 100 block of Hickory Street in Coshocton where he climbed up a fire escape and refused to follow the officer’s orders. Deputies created a perimeter and requested Coshocton City Fire to assist deputies in order to gain access to the rooftops where Mr. Cummings fled too.

At 2:59 p.m. deputies were able to take Cummings into custody without further incident and transport him to the Coshocton County Justice Center where he remains at the time of this release.

Assisting deputies in the capture of this wanted man were Coshocton City Fire, Coshocton EMS, and several armed carry concealed community members.
