Seven taken into custody after search warrant issued

On Aug. 5, 2020 at approximately 7:34 p.m., detectives from the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on a residence in the 400 block of North Ninth Street in the City of Coshocton in reference to a long-term investigation into drug trafficking.  Seven adults, two females and five males, were initially taken into custody and remain in the justice center at the time of this release.

Many items were seized in the execution of this search warrant including a large amount of suspected Methamphetamine, cash, firearms and drug related items.

The names of those taken into custody will be withheld pending the filing of formal charges.

The Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office assisted the sheriff’s office with this on-going investigation.

This incident remains under investigation by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
