Ridgewood board approves supplemental contracts

The Ridgewood Local School Board met in regular session on Aug. 17, with all members present.

Superintendent Mike Masloski presented the following items that were approved: Resignations – Britney Cunningham, RES Custodian; Teresa Evin, RMS Aide; Trista Claxon, fourth grade social studies. Linda Ondayko was moved to fourth grade social studies; one year leave of absences for the 2020/2021 school year for Angela Williamson and Felicia Hunter; Tim Kilpatrick as classified substitute for 2020/2021; home instruction teachers for 2020/2021 – Wendy Croy, Maria Prater, and Kirstin Slusser; ticket takers for 2020/2021 school year – Vicki Hall, Lori Cabot, Jerold Ball, Jeff Larr, Dean Wears, Lori Buchanan, Matt Wells, Laura Arnold, Linda Ondayko, Logan Pyers, Wanda Craddock, Carol Wears, Adam Frey, and Maria Prater.

The following supplemental contracts were approved: Amy Lott, freshman class advisor; Duke Stark, sophomore class advisor; Jill Bryan and Kathy Wright, co-junior class advisors; Jill Collins, senior class advisor and drama advisor; Michelle Stoffer, Teen Institute Advisor; Penny Mast, yearbook with planning period and mentor, Jeff Larr, (RES); Debbie Carpenter (RMS and RHS) Accelerated Reader; Jacqueline McPherson, RMS Student Council and RMS Yearbook Advisor; Jeff Larr, mentor, Duke Stark RHS Quiz Team; Jane Buehler and Jill Collins RHS National Honor Society; Savannah Gress and Rebecca Wells RHS Student Council; Jane Buehler and Amy Lott, Foreign Language Advisors; Haley Evans, assistant drama; Duke Stark and Maria Prater, mentor coordinators; Jennifer Lindig, Washington D. C. Trip; Kirstin Slusser, RMS National Honor Society; Gordan Arney, RES Student Council; Wendy Croy, mentor; and David Hochstetler, auxiliary band. Shirley Smith was approved as website coordinator for 2020/2021 at $3,000.

The Capital Conference in Columbus will not be held this year and a virtual conference is being explored.  The next board of education meeting will be held Monday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. at Ridgewood Elementary School.
