Anne M. Hardesty
Anne M. Hardesty went home with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020, at the age of 92, with her family by her side.
She was born on Oct. 18, 1927, in Nichlasville, KY to the late Samuel and Sarah Hazel (Cornett) Watts. Anne graduated from Pennville School in Pennville, IN in 1946. She then attended Marion College (now IWU) for 2 years.
On April 9, 1950, she married Rex B. Krieg who passed away on Oct. 30, 1989. She then married Kenneth W. Hardesty on May 8, 1993. Kenneth passed away on Nov. 23, 2010.
Anne retired from Dietary at the Coshocton Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Burt Ave. Wesleyan Church. She was President for WCTU for several years in Brooksville, FL.
She is survived by her three children, K. Diane (Ronald) Hutchison of Coshocton, Cecilia A. Challen of Columbia City, IN and C. Allen (Debbie) Krieg of Clinton, PA; six grandchildren, Michael Krieg of Fort Wayne, IN, Stephanie A. Darr of Coshocton, Eric Challen of Kington, NY, Scott Krieg of Columbia City, IN, Kirk Challen of Fayetteville, NC and DeWayne Hutchison of Coshocton; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Pris (Dan) Beckelheimer, GA and Sue Thomas of FL and one brother, Dave Watts of CO.
Along with her parents and husbands, Anne is preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Watts and his wife and Dwight Watts and sister, Eve K. Bundschuh and her husband John; brother-in-law, Dean Krieg and his wife and sister-in-law, Doris Cecil and her husband.
The family wants to thank Hospice and Signature Health Care for making her comfortable the last days of her life.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020, from 10-11 a.m. at Burt Ave. Wesleyan Church. A memorial service will follow at the church at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rod Uhlig officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Lancaster, IN where she will be buried beside her husband, Rex. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
