Coshocton
Coshocton volleyball falls to Hiland
On Sept. 21 in a non-league match-up, the Coshocton Redskins volleyball team lost at Hiland by the scores of 23-25, 20-25, 25-19, and 14-25.
Offensively, the ‘Skins were led by Kindall Shaw’s 20 kills, while Hailey Helter had 12 and Belle Miller added nine. Jalynn West set up the offense with 38 assists.
The defense was led by Miyah Davis who dug up 21 Hawk attacks, Helter contributed with 15 digs, while Shaw added 14.
Helter also led in blocks with three, and service aces with two.
In the JV match, it was Hiland defeating Coshocton by the scores of 9-25 and 14-25.
Jaiden Arnold served up three aces and had two kills. Addy Gordon added three kills.
Tuesday night, Sept. 22, in The Dawg House, the Coshocton Redskins volleyball team lost in a hard-fought, five-set match to Tri-Valley by the scores of 25-23, 15-25, 25-21, 14-25, and 12-15.
Belle Miller led the offensive attack with 13 kills while Kindall Shaw added 12 and Ella Bible added nine. Jalynn West set up 40 assists.
Defensively, Libero Miyah Davis dug up 21 Tri-Valley attacks and West recorded three blocks.
In the junior varsity contest, it was Tri-Valley defeating Coshocton by the scores of 16-25, 27-25, and 18-25.
Savanna Bartlett pounded seven kills and served up four aces. Addy Gordon added five kills and two aces and Alison Cox had four kills and three aces.
Ridgewood
Ridgewood defeats Sandy Valley
Ridgewood defeated Sandy Valley by scores of 25-7, 25-14, and 25-12.
The Generals were led by: Hannah Maust – eight kills, three blocks, and four points; Madisyn Colvin – eight kills, nine digs, one block, five points, and three aces; Kassidy Alexander – three kills, one block, five digs, 11 points, and five aces; Ella Matusik – 22 assists, two digs, four points, and one ace; Karissa Gress – three kills, three blocks, three points, and two aces; Paige Slusser – four kills, two digs, and two points; Ashley Green – two kills, four points, and two digs; and Lindsay Griffith – four digs and two points.
RHS holds senior night
The Sept. 23 match against TCC was senior night for Ridgewood’s golf team.
Lexi Zimmer was honored as a four year letterman and shot a 41 in her last regular season match. Other scores for Ridgewood were: Charlie Kilpatrick – 37 (medalist); Benny Shuck – 48; Zach Evin – 49; Braden Bookless – 57; and Cooper King – 72.
Ridgewood’s team score was 175 and TCC’s was 189.
River View
River View defeated by Meadowbrook
River View’s varsity volleyball team lost in a 5 set match Sept. 23 at Meadowbrook.
Leading River View was: Ashley Newell – 17 kills and two blocks; Kayla Dulgar – 43 assists; and Cayla Shrimplin – 21 digs. Newell also was 100 percent on her serves.
River View’s junior high golf falls to John Glenn
River View’s junior high golf team fail to John Glenn on Sept. 18. Team scores were John Glenn – 155 and River View 176.
The Black Bears were led by: Gavin Gress – 35 (medalist); Colton Gress – 38; Caleb Kline – 45; Peyton Everhart – 58; Makayla Gress – 62; Clark Frischen – 66; Rylan Everhart – 66; Taylor Harstine – 67; Jake Miller – 71; and Brynn Harstine – 74;
River View Black Bears Invitational held
The River View Black Bears Invitational was held Sept. 19 at Hickory Flats Golf Course in West Lafayette.
Ridgewood came in 11th and River View 13th out of the 18 schools that competed.
Individual scores for Coshocton golfers were: Ridgewood – Charlie Kilpatrick, 78; Lexi Zimmer, 92; Zach Evin, 96; Benny Shuck, 96; and Cooper King, DNF; River View – Austin Bahmer, 79; Coen Bible, 88; Madalyn Cutshall, 98; Josh Woolard, 113; and Thad Cox, 123; Coshocton – Carter Summers, 130; and Camden Swigert, 131.
On Sept. 22 the Black Bears golfed in Byesville at the Cambridge Country Club. River View came in last with a team score of 417. Individual scores were: Austin Bahmer, 87; Madalyn Cutshall, 97; Thad Cox, 116; Coen Bible, 117; Paige Nicely, 117; and Josh Woolard, 139.
In the junior varsity invitational River View came in second with a team score of 403. The Black Bears were led by Austin Bahmer – 81; Coen Bible – 101; Paige Nicely – 105; Thad Cox – 116; and Josh Woolard – 128.
On Sept. 23 River View played Maysville and lost 195 to 185. The Black Bears were led by: Austin Bahmer – 42 (medalist); Coen Bible – 49; Thad Cox – 49; and Josh Woolard – 55.
RVHS girls golf celebrates senior night
On Sept. 14, River View’s girls competed in a tri-match with John Glenn and Crooksville at Hickory Flats. Team scores were: River View – 205; John Glenn – 183; and Crooksville – 201.
River View’s individual scores were: Madalyn Cutshall – 40 (personal record); Paige Nicely – 55; Caily Shriver – 53; Chloey Geog – 64; Kiera McPeck – 57 (personal record); and Emma Ward – 63 (personal record)
On Sept. 16 they played John Glenn at Cambridge Country Club. Team scores were: River View – 206 and John Glenn – 185.
River View’s individual scores were: Madalyn Cutshall – 47; Paige Nicely – 50; Caily Shriver – 54; Chloey Geog – 55; Kiera McPeck – 71; and Emma Ward – 70.
Senior night was celebrated on Sept. 17, with a match against Warren Local at Hickory Flats. Team scores were: River View – 186 (team best for 2020) and Warren Local – 195. Match medalist was Paige Nicely.
