Cricket Wireless celebrated its grand opening in the Downtowner Plaza on Oct. 30 with a ribbon cutting by the Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce.

“Welcome to Coshocton,” Chamber of Commerce director Amy Crown said during the ceremony. “We are super excited to have you in the Downtowner Plaza and for what you have to offer customers and clients.”
Mayor Mark Mills also welcomed the Cricket store employees and shared his appreciation for them. “You give residents a different option (for cell phone service), and I’m glad this is no longer just and empty store,” he said. “I appreciate you being here. Welcome to Coshocton.”
Manager Craig Dishman said what sets Cricket apart is its prices. “We are proven to have the best coverage for the best price,” he said. “Being noncontract and offering free phones also sets us apart from the competition as well.”
Dishman said AT&T owns Cricket, and they haven’t had any concerns over service in the county. “We are hitting our goals and getting customers in with no complaints,” he said.
Cricket Wireless is located at 40 Downtowner Plaza between Park National Bank and Subway. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. For more information call 740-295-9889.
