Emergency relief funds still available

| November 24, 2020

In March of 2020, the United Way board set up an emergency fund to help support non-profit programs who offer direct support to those individuals adversely affected by the COVID virus.

So far more than $55,000 has been donated to local schools, food pantries, and various programs providing relief to victims of the virus. Some funds remain and the United Way board wishes to help if needs continue. If you run a non-profit program in Coshocton County and wish to apply, go to www.coshoctonunitedway.org and look for the COVID Fund application link on the home page.

If you wish to contribute to the fund, you can donate through the www.coshoctonunitedway.org website, click on the donate tab on the home page and be sure to indicate “emergency fund” in the additional information box.

You can also mail checks to P.O. Box 84, Coshocton, OH 43812 with emergency fund on the memo line.

The 2-1-1 service has been re-established for Coshocton, so individuals with questions concerning the pandemic can call 2-1-1. If that number does not work, you can call 1-844-318-3909.

The United Way of Coshocton was established in the county 80 years ago and has been uniting neighbors and resources to positively impact lives in Coshocton County ever since.
