CCYL program day focuses on courts and law

| December 9, 2020

On Nov. 18, 2020, the Coshocton County Youth Leadership class of 2020 had its November Program Day. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the program was held via Zoom. The program day covered Coshocton County’s courts and law. This was the first time having a program via Zoom.

To start the day the CCYL students spoke with Mayor Mark Mills and asked how being a mayor during a pandemic was. The youth had the opportunity to speak with Jason Given who is the Coshocton County Prosecutor; as well as Jeff Mullen who is the Coshocton County Public Defender. They also had the opportunity to speak with Judge Batchelor and Judge Blanchard; along with various other law enforcing individuals in the community.

Thank you to all those who took time out of their workday to allow the Coshocton County Youth Leadership the opportunity to receive an understanding of what it takes to keep our community safe and running smoothly. If you have any questions or would like more information on Coshocton County Youth Leadership, contact Executive Director Betsy Gosnell at 740-622-0010 or email her at lead@coshoctonfoundation.org.
