River View swimmers win tri-meet

River View boys and girls varsity swimming both defeated Coshocton and Heath in a tri-meet at the Janet Jones Mulligan natatorium on Dec. 2.

In individual results for the girls, Carolyn Cox won the 100 free (1:12.75), and the 100 back (1:19.90), and Raychel Smalley won the 50 free (34.81). In relays, Cox, Britton McCoy, Maryann Lozowski, and Smalley won the 200 medley (2:34.09), Cox, Michaela White, McCoy, and Smalley won the 200 free (2:19.35), and Lozowski, Emily Williams, Cindy Keneda, and White won the 400 free (5:56.83).

For the boys’ team, Coen Bible won the 200 (2:19.67) and 100 free (1:01.09), Cole Tatro won the 100 fly, and the 100 breast (1:19.28), Zachariah Phillips won the individual medley (2:41.96), JT Roberts won the 50 free (26.53), Evan McPeak won the 400 free (5:39.39), and Brady Philabaum won the 100 back (1:09.95). In the relays, Philabaum, Phillips, Tatro, and Roberts won the 200 medley (2:01.72), Phillips, Roberts, Bible, and Brayden Karr won the 200 free (1:48.55), and Philabaum, Malek Better, Tatro, and Bible won the 400 free (4:20.95).
