Alfred J. Rose

| December 16, 2020

Alfred James “Joe” Rose, 65, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

He was born Oct. 8, 1955 in Corning, OH, the son of the late Zeke Rose and Opal Anderson.

Alfred was a 1974 graduate of Morgan High School. He served our country from 1976-1982 in the US Navy as a Seabee Utilities Man 3rd Class. He loved his wife of 34 years, Renée (Jordan) Rose, whom he married January 9, 1987, his four children and eight grandchildren with one on the way. He served the Lord for many years attending Trinity Full Gospel Church in Zanesville where he served others in different ministries.

If you knew Alfred, you were blessed. You knew him by his laughter, you knew him by his great cooking, you knew him by his servant leadership. He loved to fish, make anything with his hands, and read anything by Max Lucado. Most of all he enjoyed his time with his grandchildren.

Left to celebrate his life are his wife, Renée Rose of Coshocton; son Aaron (Contessa) Rose of Killeen, TX; daughter Carrie (Roscoe) Scott of Zanesville; daughter Amber (Nathan) Ross of Zanesville; son James Rose of Coshocton; eight grandchildren, Logan, McKenna, Samuel, Rebekah, Ariel, Matthew, Ellie, and Owen; two sisters and one brother.

In addition to his parents, Alfred was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 at Trinity Full Gospel Church, 535 Munson Ave. Zanesville, OH 43701, with Pastor Donny Rowland and James Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, Dec. 17th from 5-7 p.m., and also one hour prior to service time on Friday. Guests will be required to wear face coverings, and social distancing measures will be in place. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. A live stream of the funeral services will be available on Alfred’s obituary page on the funeral home website, www.fischerfuneralhome.com.

In lieu of flowers, Alfred’s family suggests memorial donations to the Trinity Full Gospel Church Food Pantry.
