Lonsinger receives Good Turn Award
Steve Lonsinger is a 2020 recipient of the Good Turn Award For the Muskingum Valley Council BSA.Lonsinger is the health commissioner for the Coshocton County General Health District. He has served as the health commissioner since 2015. Prior to serving in this position, he was the director of environmental health at the health department for 16 years.
Lonsinger’s undergraduate studies were in agronomy at The Ohio State University’s College of Agriculture and he earned his Master’s of Public Administration degree through Ohio University.
Steve and his wife, Nancy, still reside on the family farm where he grew up and where they raised their own family. Rural farm life was a major influence in shaping Steve’s core values; his love of Coshocton County, its land and its people; and his work ethics. It is those tenets that have led Steve’s commitment to make Coshocton County a better place for its residents to live.
He was honored at a virtual dinner on Dec. 9. A contribution of $250 will be made in his honor to the charity of his choice by the Boy Scout Council.
