Sheriff’s office responds to Denman Avenue incident
On Dec. 26, the sheriff’s office received a call from a Coshocton woman, reporting her husband made threats to harm her and then himself.
Deputies went to the Coshocton male’s house in the 1400 block of Denman Avenue to do a well-being check on him and he refused to answer the door, texting his wife, telling her he was not going to answer the door and he was just going to harm himself.
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team was then called to the scene. After negotiating with the male for approximately one hour, the male surrendered and was transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center for an evaluation. This incident remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
