Leadership teen raising money for Valentine Project

| January 20, 2021

Benjamin Unkefer, a member of the Coshocton County Youth Leadership class, is working to raise funds to donate to the Valentine Project with a raffle basket he put together.

The Valentine Project is a 501c3 charitable organization. Its mission is to ship Valentine packages to kids with chronic illnesses all over the state of Ohio. For these kids being quarantined and careful is critical and a way of life that is not new.

Tickets for the Valentine Project raffle are one for $10, three for $20, or 10 for $50. Put your name and phone number on an envelope with your money inside. Place your envelope in the box at The Beacon, which will be checked daily. Unkefer will text you a picture with your name on the correct number of tickets to be put into the drawing. The drawing will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2. Josie Sellers, from The Beacon, will draw the winning ticket.

The raffle basket includes Scentsy and Initials Inc. items, candles, an Ohio State blanket, men’s large, lined, hooded, Carhartt coat, and multiple gift cards to a variety of businesses.
