Melody Kay Mitchell

Melody Kay Mitchell, 73, of Coshocton passed away at Coshocton County Regional Medical Center on Monday January 25, 2021.

She was born in Coshocton on July 29, 1947 to William H. and Doris (Welch) Bryant. Melody graduated from Three Rivers High School and worked at College Park Home Health Care in Coshocton for 24 ½ years where she was a Resident Care Coordinator. She treasured spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Melody is survived by her husband of 52 years Robert M. “Bob” Mitchell whom she married August 4, 1968; three sons Shane (Jindra) Mitchell of Coshocton, Darby (Vanessa) Mitchell of Warsaw and Casey Mitchell of Coshocton; her mother Doris (Terry) Casey of Keene; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one brother William H. (Dottie) Bryant of Coshocton; 2 stepsisters Becky Skidmore and Sue Tumblin, and stepbrother Steve Casey; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with her father William H. Bryant, Melody is also proceeded in death by her infant brother Christopher Bryant.

Per Melody’s wishes, a cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Miller Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family.
