River View High School head wrestling coach Devin Klein recently reached a career milestone.

Klein picked up his 100th career dual match win on Feb. 2 at an away meet. He is the only wrestling coach in River View history to accomplish this feat.

Klein began coaching the Black Bears in 2009, when he became River View’s youngest high school varsity wrestling coach at 21-years-old. Since then, he has built quite the resume. In 2018 he led River View to ECOL league title (ECOL or MVL) second all time in school history, first since 1983, was named East Central Ohio League Coach of the Year twice, tied the River View record for most dual wins in a season (14), and has coached 12 100 plus win wrestlers, 15 ECOL league champions, 17 state qualifiers, and seven state placers.

Klein wrestled for River View from 2002 to 2006. He is River View’s only four time state qualifier. He placed fourth at state his senior year in 2006, has 160 career varsity wins, and is a three time sectional tournament champion.
