Ryan injured in early morning Feb. 14 crash

On Feb. 14, 2021, at approximately 2:15 a.m. the sheriff’s office received a call in reference to a single vehicle accident with injury in Franklin Township at the intersection of Township Road 347 and Township Road 284.

Upon deputies arrival it was found that a 2020 Honda CRV was traveling South on Township Road 347 when the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway striking an embankment before going airborne. While the vehicle was airborne, it struck a utility pole owned by AT&T. After striking the pole the vehicle flipped end for end before landing in a stream of water over an embankment. One occupant of the vehicle was identified as Courtney S. Ryan, who was transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center for the extent of her injuries. This accident remains under investigation at this time. Speed and alcohol are considered to be factors related to this crash.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office on scene were the Coshocton County EMS, Conesville Fire Department, and Prince’s Wrecker Service.
