Dorothy ‘Dottie’ Frances Iaquinta Owens

Dorothy “Dottie” Frances Iaquinta Owens, 89, of Fresno passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday February 13, 2021 at Signature Healthcare in Coshocton. She was born in Galloway, West Virginia to the late Frank and Frances (Linksmovich) Zacavish.

Dottie graduated from Phillippi High School in 1949 where she was the Strawberry Festival Princess, a Majorette, and a member of the basketball team. She worked for the Coshocton Tribune and Hayes Jewelry Store and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church Catholic Women’s Club, and the Coshocton Welcome Wagon. Dottie enjoyed spending time in her garden, baking and cooking, golfing, shopping, playing poker, crocheting and sewing. She also enjoyed watching baseball, covered bridges, her hummingbirds and butterflies.

Dottie is survived by her husband, Frank Owens, whom she married June 21, 1976; children Theodore “Ted” (Rebecca) Iaquinta of Tennessee, Mike (Cheryl) Iaquinta of Westerville, Susan (Chip) Stalter of Westerville, and Aimee (Bud) Wagstaff of Westerville; grandchildren Michael (Holly) Iaquinta, Adam (Jyl) Kyser, Evan Wagstaff, and Patrick Wagstaff; great grandchildren Madilyn and Amelia Kyser and Warren Iaquinta; sister Wanda Seti; brother Frank (Jannette) Zacavish; and beloved relatives and friends.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her brother-in-law Frank Seti and nephew Frank “Marty” Seti.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 10:30am – 11:30am.  A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00pm at Sacred Heart Church, Coshocton with Father Homer Blubaugh officiating with Deacon Andy Duda assisting. Burial for family members will follow at Chili Cemetery, Fresno, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed towards Mass Intentions at Sacred Heart Catholic Church; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.  An online memorial is located at www.themillerfuneralhome.com.
