K-9 Chili helps locate Methamphetamines

On Feb. 21, 2021 the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Kenilworth Ave for an equipment violation. During this traffic stop, K-9 Chili gave a positive indication of the presence of narcotics or narcotic related items. Upon investigation a large amount of suspected Methamphetamines were located. As a result of this traffic stop, Dustin W. Dobson of Warsaw, Ohio was charged with possession of Methamphetamines, a felony of the second degree.

Upon further investigation the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office obtained and executed a search warrant in the 2400 block of S. Seventh Street. During the execution of the search warrant, a large amount of suspected narcotics, narcotic related items, cash, a firearm, and stolen items were seized. One male and one female were taken into custody and are being held at the Coshocton County Justice Center, names will be released upon the filing of formal charges. Assisting with this investigation was the Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office.
