| March 6, 2021

On March 6, 2021 at 4:54 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a call of a possible two vehicle accident with injuries and possible entrapment at the intersection of North 2nd St. and Locust St.

Upon arrival of EMS and deputies, a female was extricated and treated by EMS for minor injuries. After the initial investigation by deputies it was determined that a 2012 Chevrolet, being operated by a 59-year old Newcomerstown man, Timothy Spring, was traveling South on North 2nd St. when a 2012 Hyundai, being operated by a 72-year-old Coshocton woman, Carol Grove, was traveling east on Locust St., failed to yield the right-of-way and caused Spring to strike her on the driver’s side. Grove was treated and released by EMS and later received a citation for failure to yield.

Assisting deputies at the scene was Coshocton County EMS, the Coshocton City Fire Department and Prince’s Wrecker Service.
