Motor vehicle and bicycle involved in accident

On March 9th, 2021 at 4:37 p.m., the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an accident with injuries, involving a motor vehicle and a bicycle, at the intersection of Main St. and N. 2nd St.

Deputies were also advised that the vehicle that was involved in the accident left the scene. While deputies were enroute they were advised that the vehicle, a 2013 Chevrolet Impala being operated by 81-year-old Alice Rodgers of Coshocton, was now back at the scene.

After the initial investigation by deputies, it was determined that a juvenile on a bicycle was traveling South on N. 2nd St. when he was unable to stop and struck Rodgers vehicle, who was traveling East on Main St. The juvenile was not wearing a helmet and was treated at the scene and later transported to the Coshocton Regional Medical Center.

Assisting deputies at the scene was Coshocton County EMS and the Coshocton City Fire Department.
