City Council President Biggers says goodbye
The Monday, March 8 city council meeting was a bitter sweet one as President Cliff Biggers shared that on March 3 he submitted his resignation as president, effective March 31.
Biggers, who has been a resident of Coshocton County for 29 years, has served on city council as president for the past nine years. Biggers assured council members his resignation was not due to upset of any kind. On the contrary, Biggers said, “this is a bittersweet time.” Biggers, who retired from ministry, will be leaving Coshocton county and moving back to Licking County with his wife to enjoy his retirement years.
Biggers shared that Coshocton is better now than when he arrived, and he encourages the community to remember we are one race with many cultures, and there are great opportunities to serve each other here in Coshocton. Biggers explained how he has been here to serve, and it has been his honor and privilege to serve Coshocton and city council members. “I have learned a whole lot from all of you” he expressed to council members before teary goodbyes were said.
City Council members wished Biggers and his family all the best as he moves forward into this next season of life.
