Together Again
Sandra L. Mills, 78, passed away at Signature Healthcare Sunday, March 14, 2021. She was born on Sept. 17, 1942 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late William and Betty (Stevenson) Jones. Sandy graduated from Martins Ferry High School. On Jan. 2, 1962, she married Robert A. Mills, who preceded her in death on June 23, 2009.
Together they raised two sons, Michael Mills of West Lafayette, Ohio and Richard (Melissa) Mills of Coshocton, Ohio. She supported a 21-year Navy career for her husband and was a homemaker. She was a member of The Roscoe United Methodist Church and supported The Martins Ferry Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her children, five grandchildren, Michael Mills, Ashley Mills, Zachary (Bethanie Untied) Mills, Laiken (Nathan Conidi) Mills, Lyndsey (Daniel) Gwinn, eight great-grandchildren, a sister Betty Wilson of Martins Ferry, a brother Jeff Jones of Salem, New Hampshire, two sisters in law, Rosalie (Jim) Sambuco of Coshocton, Ruth Ellen Auker of Mansfield and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her sister Carol Hartman, brother-in-law Richard (Dick) Wilson, sister-in-law, Sandy Jones, brother-in-law, Roger Auker and a nephew, Doug Wilson.
Per Sandy’s wishes there will be a private graveside service at Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette, Ohio.
