Red Cross is in need of volunteers
The American Red Cross is in need of volunteers in Coshocton County.
Michael Vance, volunteer recruitment specialist with the East Central Ohio Region of the American Red Cross, said they are in need of volunteers in two critical areas.
- Disaster Action Team – Virtual Associates: New volunteers (four to six new volunteers) are currently needed to assist with local disaster response efforts. Individuals can register and take the on-line training courses at home to learn how to respond to support victims of local disasters. Volunteers can serve in this position while working from home to support local families affected by home fires and other disasters.
- Blood Donor Ambassadors: Local blood drive volunteers are also needed to staff the welcome desk and health screener positions (protective equipment will be provided) to support local blood donors at area blood drives.
